Per-payment figures are the all-in total divided by 3 and rounded. The number of payments and the schedule differ by partner — Happy Pay splits over 2 — and your own plan depends on that partner's approval. You see it in full before you confirm. Fares are the lowest seen for a sample date about six weeks out, not a quote; airline pricing moves constantly.

About Tete

Tete sits on the Zambezi in western Mozambique, at the crossroads between Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is a mining and logistics centre, and the route is almost entirely business travel.

The Cahora Bassa dam upstream is one of Africa's largest, and the suspension bridge over the Zambezi is the town's landmark.

Getting in from the airport

Chingozi Airport (TET) is about 6 km from town. Arrange a transfer in advance — this is a business destination with limited arrival infrastructure.

Entry requirements for South African passport holders

South African passport holders have historically been able to enter Mozambique for short tourist stays without a pre-arranged visa, though the rules have changed. Confirm the current requirement before travelling.

Entry rules change. Confirm the current requirements with the destination's embassy or consulate before you travel — this page is a guide, not an authority.
