Per-payment figures are the all-in total divided by 3 and rounded. The number of payments and the schedule differ by partner — Happy Pay splits over 2 — and your own plan depends on that partner's approval. You see it in full before you confirm. Fares are the lowest seen for a sample date about six weeks out, not a quote; airline pricing moves constantly.

About Abuja

Abuja is Nigeria's purpose-built capital, laid out in the centre of the country in the 1980s. It is quieter, greener and considerably more orderly than Lagos, which is much of its appeal for business travellers.

Aso Rock dominates the skyline, and Zuma Rock sits on the approach from the north. Most visits here are government or corporate rather than leisure.

Getting in from the airport

Nnamdi Azikiwe International (ABV) is about 40 km from the city centre, roughly 45 minutes — a far easier transfer than Lagos. Arrange transport through your hotel.

Entry requirements for South African passport holders

Nigeria requires South African passport holders to obtain a visa in advance. Processing takes time — begin well ahead and confirm current requirements with the Nigerian High Commission.

Entry rules change. Confirm the current requirements with the destination's embassy or consulate before you travel — this page is a guide, not an authority.
